Meet Our Club 1st VP of Programs!
Jon Shoemaker

Jon Shoemaker joined the club in 2023. He has been married for 21 years. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada and lived in the metroplex on and off for the past 20+ years. He currently work in the fashion, apparel, and footwear business in the area of analytics and supply chain management / logistics / distribution.
Interests in the Gem & Mineral Club: Jon loves collecting rocks. To him every rock, gem, and mineral is like a fingerprint in tat it is unique. He enjoys cutting into them to see what they look like inside which is fascinating when you find out their beauty is more than simply a “rock”. He has started moving into jewelry making as more of a challenge to me due to artistic expression not being one of my strong areas. He also wants to stake a claim and do some small-scale mining and prospecting whether this is on private or public land.
His goals as the Programs Officer: To provide our members with a litany of interesting topics and speakers in areas of interest. he likes the “1-off” topics that are not necessarily covered in discussions as well topics people are passionate about. He would love for all members to send suggestions for programs!
